Victoria’s Secret by Ada Heller

I watch two boys
take a picture
with the giant Victoria’s Secret Ad
that my mother
used to turn her nose
up at in the name
of modesty when she
took me to the
mall to go dress shopping.

When they are done
pretending to touch the
two-dimensional model one of the
boys grab me.

They take the picture
before my best friend swats
his hand away and

all I am doing is
staring at the model
watching as my mom turns
away from me in
the name of modesty.
