poem 1
omi mehta | Fall 2021
It is in the darkness of our minds,
The untravelled abyss of our souls,
And the shattered fragments of our hearts—
Where we unveil our truest potential.
For without the collapse of the clouds, a star would not be born
And without the scorching heat, a diamond would not be formed.
Just as how some of the longest nights lead to the brightest days,
It is in the same way that we unearth who we are—
through the most excruciating pain.
