build a world
The Body is Limited by the Imagination of the Mind, and the Mind is Limited by the Physicality of the Body (Oil, acrylic, gypsum, and wall adhesive on canvas; 80 by 55 inches; the body is handpainted) by slav velkov
the strings by dylan anderson
20,000 flies attached to strings pull my body towards the sky
The fleas only live so long, as the moon becomes new,
I fall
I land among the stars who look just like me
The puerile, orbs twinkle around me, as I drift away from their abyss
I am falling, not swift, but slow
The blue bambinos engulf my sight, but I am alone.
My descent continues, young boys with white beards appear from right to left
My scramble flourishes
My god, the birds, the bugs, Cupid
Each wing beat beating me farther from
My Competition
I race between tall, green men that I have never met before
But I can only meet with these green men for so long, as they are the closest to
The brown couch cushion I see below
The tall men, fallen
The wings, fluttered
The young boys, gone left to right
The Blue bambinos, black
The stars expire, supernova
Until finally, I hit the ground and…
20,000 flies attached to strings pull my body towards the sky
The fleas only live so long, as the moon becomes new,
I fall
