Hey mimi, 03/26/2021

I hope this one doesn’t get lost in the mail like last time. I really miss you. It’s gotten warmer so we can go on our picnic finally. Even with winter over, I keep asking myself what’s really next, you know? I keep thinking of Lance’s mom and now Anna’s in the ER and it doesn’t feel over. There’s more people in the streets but only enough to make them sparse, not empty. Sparse instead of empty. I don’t know, I thought postcards were larger than this. I was wrong. Now I’ve gone and filled it up. Please come back soon. Love you, Bruno♡

Missed Time is a collection of photographs and a postcard that capture the changing nature of our social reality at a moment when returning to a world resembling pre-2020 seems more possible than ever. The development of a vaccine for COVID19 arrived almost in tandem with the coming of the spring season inspiring the visuals of our slow transition back to regular human interaction. In the process, however, it’s also important to recognize what’s been lost. Over a year since this pandemic began, there're hours of lost communion with our loved ones that we’ll never get back or experience again, a shared longing that we all know and feel. Below is a transcription of the message written on the postcard.
